NCC, REA Partner to Use Mini-Grids for Rural Telecom Expansion

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to boost telecommunications services in rural communities. The agreement, signed at the National Stakeholders’ Forum on Renewable Energy for Sustainable Telecommunications Infrastructure, focuses on leveraging mini-grids to power telecom base stations.
