In a nationwide search, law enforcement officers are hunting for an inmate, Abraham Briggs, who escaped from the Youth Transformation and Rehabilitation Centre in Arouca on Tuesday evening. Briggs, 31, was serving a five-year sentence for aggravated robbery at the Golden Grove Prison. According to reports, Briggs managed to escape around 5:30 p.m., last seen in his blue prison uniform. Briggs is known to have two addresses in Sangre Grande. The local police and prison authorities are urging the public to provide any information on his whereabouts, warning citizens to avoid approaching him due to potential danger. An investigation into the escape is currently underway.
