**National Resistance Front Appoints New Commander Following Death of Hasib Panjshiri**
The National Resistance Front (NRF) of Afghanistan has appointed Mukhtar Shoresh as its new commander, succeeding the late Hasib Panjshiri.
According to a statement released by the NRF on Friday, September 4, Shoresh was a close associate of Panjshiri. The appointment follows the death of Panjshiri, who was killed by Taliban forces.
In its announcement, the NRF expressed gratitude to the national and political figures, leaders, and members of the public who offered tributes and condolences following Panjshiri’s death.
