Gibraltar’s Julian Turnock Sets National Record in Shot Put at Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games
Julian Turnock, Gibraltar’s representative in the shot put event, achieved a national record performance at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. The 19-year-old athlete, who recently took up shot put after the Gibraltar Amateur Athletic Association (GAAA) developed field events following the launch of the Lathbury sports facilities, successfully recorded three attempts at the Games. According to reports, Turnock’s performance has set a new national record in the shot put event.
