Zambia Police arrested Tonse Alliance president Brian Mundubile and vice president Makebi Zulu on charges of sedition.
Assistant Public Relations Officer Timothy Malumo of the Zambia Police Service confirmed that the two leaders were taken to Mukobeko Maximum Correctional Facility, where they are being held pending further police procedures and a scheduled court appearance.
The arrests were reported by the Mwebantu news outlet, which cited police statements regarding the detention of Mundubile and Zulu.
The incident is part of ongoing security operations in Zambia, with authorities indicating that the charges will be pursued through the judicial system.
