MTS Janitor Arrested for Smoking Marijuana on School Grounds

A janitor of MTS was apprehended on 1st December, 2025, after he was found smoking marijuana on the school premises of East Mucurapo Secondary School in St. James. The incident took place around 10:40am when a police officer, during his patrol at the school, noticed the janitor engaged in the act near the football field. The officer, with the help of his colleagues, seized the marijuana and arrested the suspect, transporting him to the St. James Police Station. Later, the suspect was moved to the Four Roads Police Station for further procedures, including photographing the suspect along with the seized items. Under the supervision of W Sgt Tudor, the janitor was finally charged with possession of marijuana for trafficking purposes within a school’s premises.
