A single mother in Trinidad and Tobago is attracting attention on social media after reportedly overpowering a suspected cutlass-wielding intruder who allegedly attempted to break into her home around 4 a.m.
Despite suffering injuries to her fingers during the confrontation, the woman managed to subdue the man and keep him on the floor, according to her account of the frightening encounter.
Video footage shared online shows the man lying on the floor inside the residence, with what appears to be a cutlass positioned nearby. The visibly shaken and angry mother can be heard confronting him, questioning why he entered her home at such an early hour.
“Watch the hour of the morning,” she declares while filming the scene.
The woman repeatedly draws attention to her injured fingers, alleging that the confrontation resulted in damage to her hand.
“All my fingers, watch, watch,” she says, before claiming that one of her fingers had been injured during the struggle.
During the confrontation, the woman also mentions a man she identifies as Christopher Paul, repeatedly questioning the alleged intruder about whether that individual had sent him to her home.
“He said Christopher Paul send him,” she claims in the recording.
She subsequently asks the man whether Christopher Paul had sent him to the house to kill her.

She claimed he had provided a Couva address but was originally from Enterprise and also had connections to Caroni Field.

“These people who tell themselves that they could target single mothers in homes by themselves, because they feel single mothers can’t defend their children,” she said.
The mother then delivered a defiant declaration about her determination to protect her children regardless of the circumstances.
“But this single mother will continue to defend children till death, by the grace of God,” she stated.
She emphasised that her children remain her priority, declaring, “I protecting my boy children and them with my all, A-L-L, all.”
