More Airlines Suspend Venezuela Flights over Security Concerns

Security issues, military activity, and GPS interference in Venezuela’s airspace have prompted more airlines to suspend their services to the country. This decision comes after the FAA issued a warning regarding the worsening security condition. Copa Airlines, Wingo, and SATENA ceased operations, prioritizing the safety of their passengers and crews. In response, Venezuelan authorities have denied these security concerns, alleging that the airlines are acting under U.S. political pressure. They have even revoked the permits of six other major airlines. The FAA’s safety advisory will remain in effect until February 2026, further reducing air links in the region.
