The organization Momentum has announced its support for a campaign led by the group ResidentiBeltin, which is urging the Planning Authority to reject two pending applications for catering establishments. The proposed developments are located in front of the Ta Giezu churches in Valletta and Rabat.
The opposition centers on the impact these commercial establishments would have on the areas surrounding the historic religious sites. The Planning Authority is currently reviewing the applications, which have drawn criticism from local residents concerned about the potential effects of catering operations in these specific locations.
