ModSec PTA fundraising delivers newly refurbished wall for school community

ModSec commissions refurbished school wall following successful PTA fundraising and wider community support efforts San Fernando Central Secondary School, widely known as ModSec, has officially commissioned a newly refurbished school wall following a fundraising initiative spearheaded by the school’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA). The project was completed through the fundraising efforts of the PTA, led by president Nicole Barton, together with members of the executive, parents and other members of the school community. During the commissioning, school officials praised the PTA for having the vision and foresight to undertake the project as part of efforts to continuously improve the appearance of ModSec. Special recognition was also given to the school’s principal, Ms Khan, who was credited with working extensively behind the scenes and collaborating with the PTA to obtain the necessary approvals for the project. Barton thanked those involved in completing the physical works, including Anson Wright of Classic Home Stucco and Mr Riley, saying their contribution helped make the refurbishment possible. Parents, teachers, students and members of the PTA executive were also thanked for supporting the initiative. Officials said the project demonstrated what could be achieved when the school’s administration, PTA and wider community worked together, expressing hope that additional improvement projects would come to fruition in the future. The refurbished wall was formally commissioned as another improvement to the ModSec compound, with those involved saying the work was ultimately undertaken for the benefit of the school’s students and wider community.
