Moderaterna tätt bakom S i ny mätning

According to an October poll conducted by Indikator Opinions and reported by Sveriges Radio, the gap between the two largest parties in Sweden has narrowed to just 0.7 percentage points. The Moderaterna (M) are now at 26.3 %, while the Social Democrats (S) sit at 27.0 %. The poll shows that Moderaterna have gained 6.5 percentage points compared with the results of the last general election. Analysts attribute this rise to a broad shift of voters from several parties, including the center‑right coalition (Tidöpartierna), the Social Democrats, and the Centre Party (C). The center‑right coalition is unlikely to secure a parliamentary majority. The Liberals (L) are projected to receive only 3.8 %, below the 4 % threshold required for representation in the Riksdag. The Christian Democrats (KD) and the Sweden Democrats (SD) are also expected to decline, with projected shares of 4.8 % and 16.3 % respectively. The decreases for L and KD are statistically significant. Miljöpartiet (the Green Party) is the only other party that appears to be gaining ground relative to the last election, with a projected share of 7.3 %.
