The Legal Aid and Advisory Authority has launched a Mobile Legal Aid Clinic to increase access to legal services across the country. The initiative includes mobile units that act as fully equipped offices, providing instant access to legal consultations and registration for services. These units are designed with private consultation areas and workstations for legal officers, and include air conditioning and power systems for efficient operation. The mobile clinics are expected to travel to underserved areas, as part of a larger effort to improve accessibility to justice and increase the number of citizens benefiting from legal aid services. They are planned to visit communities across Trinidad and Tobago in continued outreach efforts.
