Mnangagwa Appoints Waste Tycoon Nguwaya as Special Advisor on Environmental Sustainability

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed Dilesh Nguwaya, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Geo Pomona Waste Management, as Special Advisor on Waste Management and Environmental Sustainability with immediate effect. The announcement was made by the government, which stated that the move is aimed at strengthening Zimbabwe’s efforts to improve waste management and environmental protection. Nguwaya brings private sector experience to the advisory role, potentially shaping policy in a sector critical to public health and urban development.
