Missing Piarco Man Found Murdered After Vehicle Purchase Attempt

A tragic case has emerged in Arima where Scott Timala Rambaran, a 33-year-old man from Piarco, was found dead after going missing for two days. Rambaran left home on July 8, 2025, to buy a car and was last seen driving his white Toyota NZE121. He was supposed to meet a friend, Justin Baird, in Malabar for the purchase of a Nissan Tiida from an individual known only as “Michael.”

Earlier that day, he had secured a loan of $25,000 from Scotiabank, which he intended to use for the transaction. His common-law wife, Mala Melissa Ram, became concerned when he failed to return home and could not reach him by phone. After consulting with family, a missing person report was filed. Unfortunately, his body was discovered in a bushy area off Mausica Road, highlighting the alarming circumstances surrounding his disappearance and murder. The police are actively investigating the case.
