Missing Firearm Sparks Investigation

A 54-year-old man from Belmont reported the theft of his licensed firearm and ammunition after visiting his wife’s home in Arima late at night. The incident occurred on July 6th, when he arrived at his wife’s residence on Churchill Street to drop off bags of clothing. The man secured his Glock pistol, two magazines, and 28 rounds of ammunition in a pouch, which he placed on the floor of his parked silver Kia Rio. After leaving around 12:35 a.m. on July 7th, he noticed the pouch was missing when he checked around 1:15 a.m. Despite returning to search for the items, he could not find them. The police have opened an investigation into the matter, seeking to uncover the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the firearm.
