Minister Alexander Urges Women to ‘Choose Partners Wisely’ Amid Missing Child Case

In a recent interview with TV6 News, Minister of Homeland Security, Roger Alexander, addressed the ongoing case of a missing child. He suggested that the likelihood of finding the child was slim, even going as far to say that it would be a ‘miracle’ if the child was found. Despite the grim outlook, he lauded the police’s efforts in the investigation, stating that their work has provided some degree of closure to those involved.

Describing the situation as ‘heart-wrenching’, Alexander stressed the importance of learning from this tragic incident. He used the opportunity to caution, particularly young women, about the importance of knowing their partners. He suggested that understanding who one is in a relationship with could help prevent such tragedies.

The Minister also pointed out an increasing trend of substance abuse, specifically marijuana, meth, and rum. He implied that these substances and their associated withdrawal symptoms while in police custody could be contributing factors to such incidents.

Alexander also extended his condolences to all of Tobago and the family indirectly affected by the child’s disappearance. Concluding his statement, he commended the excellent work of the ACP for Tobago, Mr. Rishi Singh, his team, and other investigators involved in the case.
