Milo Yiannopoulos Deported to UK After ICE Arrest at New Orleans Airport

British political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos has been deported from the United States after his arrest by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. The 41-year-old, known for his outspoken support of aggressive immigration crackdowns, was detained on August 27 and deported to the United Kingdom a day later.

Yiannopoulos initially entered the US legally via New York in May 2019, but his authorization expired, and he failed to attend a required immigration hearing. Following his absence, an immigration judge issued a final removal order on July 22. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed his deportation on August 28, releasing an image to underscore their commitment to enforcing immigration laws.

Yiannopoulos’s deportation is striking given his history of advocating for harsh immigration policies. In 2025, he called for a complete halt to US immigration for two decades and supported measures like ICE checkpoints at supermarkets. This stance has led to significant online debate as he now faces the strict enforcement he once championed.

Rising to prominence in the 2010s through his work at Breitbart News, Yiannopoulos was known for provocative remarks on various cultural issues. His career faced turbulence in 2017 after controversial comments about relationships between adults and minors led to his resignation from Breitbart.

Recently, Yiannopoulos was involved with Ye’s short-lived 2024 presidential campaign and worked briefly as an intern for former congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. Authorities have not yet linked his presence in New Orleans with Ye’s scheduled performance there, though speculation persists.
