The Greek energy and metals group Metlen has reported record financial results for the first nine months of 2026, with revenues reaching 6.21 billion euros. This figure represents a 21% increase compared to the 5.12 billion euros recorded during the same period in 2025. According to the company’s commercial update, the growth was driven by strong performance across nearly all business units. The energy sector generated 4.95 billion euros, a 22% increase year-on-year, while the metals division grew by 6% to 728 million euros. The infrastructure and concessions sector saw the most significant growth, rising 50% to 534 million euros. These results were achieved despite a 44-day operational suspension at the company’s largest combined-cycle thermal power plant. The facility, which utilizes an H-class turbine, was taken offline following a hydrogen leak in the generator’s stator cooling system. The plant returned to full operation on October 12, 2026. In light of these results, Metlen confirmed its full-year 2026 EBITDA target, maintaining a range of 1.00 to 1.15 billion euros. The company also reaffirmed its medium-term target of 1.92 to 2.08 billion euros. Company leadership attributed this stability to the resilience of its diversified business model amidst ongoing market volatility. Metlen, which is listed on the Athens and London stock exchanges, is one of Greece’s largest industrial groups. Its operations span energy, metals, infrastructure, and concessions, with the Aluminium of Greece plant in Agios Nikolaos serving as one of its primary industrial assets.
