Met Éireann Issues Another High-Temperature Warning as 29°C Heat Hits Nine Counties

Met Éireann has issued another Status Yellow high-temperature warning for nine counties, with temperatures set to reach 29°C. The warning, which came into effect at 12pm today, applies to Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Wexford, Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, and Waterford. It will remain in place until 8pm. Just hours earlier, a previous yellow weather warning had expired at 6am. The national forecaster said today will be dry with plenty of sunshine, with top temperatures ranging from 24 to 29 degrees, warmest in the south. Potential impacts include water safety issues, heat stress, forest fires, and drought. Tonight will be dry and clear, with lows of 14 degrees. Friday will bring another dry and warm day, with highs of 23 to 27 degrees across the Midlands, South, and East, though it will be cloudier and cooler in the north and northwest. Saturday and Sunday will remain largely dry, with patchy mist and fog possible on Saturday night. Sunday will be warmest over Leinster and Munster at 21 to 25 degrees, while Connacht and Ulster see 16 to 21 degrees.
