Meghan Markle klar for TV-kjøkken

Meghan Markle, 45, will return to the MasterChef franchise as a co‑host of the new season of Junior MasterChef Australia, Network Ten announced on Tuesday. The show will be filmed in Melbourne in May 2027 and is expected to run for two to three weeks. Markle will share the kitchen with MasterChef Australia judge Poh Ling Yeow. In a statement quoted by The Sydney Morning Herald, Markle said: “I had an incredible time with the entire MasterChef team in April, so when they asked me to come back and work with this young group of talents, it was easy to say yes. I love cooking with my own children, so it will be very fun to see what these young stars create on the kitchen. I’m looking forward to seeing what they come up with!” The pair will compete with children aged nine to thirteen, the age range that has defined Junior MasterChef Australia since its first run in 2010. The series has not aired since 2020. Markle’s return follows her appearance as a guest judge on MasterChef Australia in April, an episode that drew the program’s highest Sunday audience since 2023, according to The Sydney Morning Herald. Judge Poh Ling Yeow praised Markle’s culinary knowledge, saying the Duchess was “engaged and can cook” after the April episode, as reported by Hello Magazine. It is not yet known whether Markle’s children, Archie (7) and Lilibet (5), will accompany her to Australia for the shoot. The role marks Markle’s first confirmed television assignment since she and Prince Harry, 41, and their children moved from California to the United Kingdom in late August. Markle, who rose to prominence as a television actress on the legal drama Suits, had a brief acting role in the 2025 Amazon comedy Close Personal Friends, her first screen appearance in seven years.
