MBOPA thanks community for successful St. Joseph’s College renovation fundraiser

The Marist Brothers Old Pupils Association (MBOPA) has expressed immense gratitude to the American Samoa community, partners, and sponsors following the successful conclusion of its fundraising campaign aimed at renovating St. Joseph’s College Centennial Hall.

According to a press release, MBOPA traveled to American Samoa in early July 2026 for a three-day fundraising initiative. The organization described it as ‘an amazing, successful and a memorable event.’ The funds raised will directly support the critical renovation of Centennial Hall, improving school campus facilities for students and staff.

MBOPA specifically acknowledged sponsors including TAULA Beverages, Lau Afioga Faumuina Enele Westerlund and SILVA Group, Afioga Sala Leslie Silva, and Afioga Fainu’ulelei Jacinta Silva. The raffle draw took place on July 4 at the Bowling Alley, with overwhelming community support.

The event was graced by the presence of His Grace Bishop Kolio Tumanuvao Etuale, Governor Pulaali’i Nikolao Pula and First Lady Dr. Lois Phillips Pula, and Miss American Samoa Tilomai Tauiliili at the Corporate Table Dinner. MBOPA also thanked local businesses including Tool Shop, KS Mart, and Bluesky American Samoa for providing free SIM cards.
