Bhekimpilo Mbedzi, the National Democratic Working Group (NDWG) Matabeleland South provincial chairperson, remains in custody despite being granted bail by the Masvingo High Court on Monday. According to reports, Mbedzi’s release has been hindered by a condition that requires him to surrender his passport. However, it is alleged that his passport has expired, creating a new obstacle to his release. Despite the bail grant, Mbedzi has not been released due to this issue.
