Nicolas Morris, the Mayaro Member of Parliament, has broadened his professional horizons by accepting an additional role as Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister. The 35-year-old, who is an international relations and energy specialist, took the oath for his new position at the President’s House just before midday. Morris’ political journey began when he served as Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign and Caricom Affairs, a position he assumed after the April 2025 general election. His recent appointment also marks a transition from Rushton Paray, the long-time MP from the United National Congress (UNC), representing the Mayaro region.
