38-year-old Isaiah Garcia, due to appear in court on a shooting-related offence on Monday, was shot dead just hours before his scheduled hearing. The incident occurred near his rented apartment in D’Abadie, where residents reported hearing gunshots around 7:15 a.m. on March 9, 2026. Responding officers found Garcia on the road with multiple gunshot wounds. He was out on bail and wearing a court-ordered ankle monitor at the time of his death. The scheduled court appearance was less than two hours after the fatal shooting. Arima Police Station officers and Region 2 Homicide Bureau of Investigations detectives are continuing enquiries into the incident.
