Man Loses $100,000 in MovieTowne Carpark Heist

A 33-year-old resident of Port of Spain suffered a major loss on Wednesday evening when his vehicle was broken into at the MovieTowne underground carpark. Earlier in the day, around 5:15 pm on September 10, 2025, the man had withdrawn $100,000 from First Citizens Bank and secured it in his car’s center console. He later parked his car in the underground carpark near KFC and went shopping at PriceSmart. Upon returning at around 6:45 pm, he found the back seat glass of his car smashed and the money missing. The case is currently under investigation.
