A 39-year-old man is recovering in the hospital following an unusual fight that broke out over spilled coffee beans and a dog. The incident occurred in his home on Brother’s Road, where an argument escalated into violence. The resident had confronted another person in the house after his dog knocked over coffee beans. He reportedly approached the other occupant aggressively with a piece of wood. The occupant retaliated by grabbing a cutlass and striking the resident’s hand, which resulted in a fight. Family members eventually intervened and contacted the police. The injured man was initially taken to a local health centre but later transferred to Sangre Grande Hospital for surgery. Meanwhile, the police arrested the man who wielded the cutlass, and investigations are still underway.
