Makokou passe au numérique : l’aninf installe le wi-fi public et un centre d’enrôlement digital

**Makokou: ANINF deploys public Wi-Fi and digital enrollment center**

The National Agency for Digital Infrastructure and Frequencies (ANINF) has launched new digital infrastructure in Makokou, the capital of the Ogooué-Ivindo province. The deployment, timed to coincide with the Fête de la Libération, includes the installation of two public Wi-Fi zones and a digital enrollment center.

The public Wi-Fi access points have been established at the Place de l’Indépendance and the Alexandre Sambat Stadium. According to the agency, these locations were selected to provide students, entrepreneurs, and job seekers with free internet access for educational and professional purposes.

In addition to public connectivity, the ANINF has equipped a center dedicated to the digital enrollment of driver’s licenses. The facility includes a local network, dedicated connectivity, and electrical infrastructure intended to streamline administrative procedures.

During the Ivindo Economic Forum, Alberto Wenceslas Mounguengui Moudoki, Director General of the ANINF, stated that the agency’s objective is to ensure digital services provide tangible improvements to daily life.

The initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize infrastructure across Gabon, a vision supported by President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, aimed at improving connectivity and administrative access throughout the country.
