The Venezuelan government has accused the United States of serious military attacks on both civilian and military targets, declaring a state of emergency and implementing national defense plans. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has also banned U.S. commercial flights from Venezuelan airspace due to the ongoing military activity. No independent confirmation or official commentary from the U.S. Department of Defense has been made available as of yet.
