Long-Standing Dump Truck Road Hazard Sparks Community Outcry

Local residents are voicing their concerns over a long-standing road hazard involving a heavy dump truck. Reportedly parked on a key roadway for more than 25 years, the truck has become a contentious issue in the community. Bearing registration TBS 2752 and allegedly belonging to Gulf Paving Limited, the truck occupies a prime location, creating a dangerous bottleneck for motorists and heavy industrial traffic.

The road in question is a major artery for Heritage Petroleum operations and several workover rig companies. This means that hiab trucks, heavy equipment transporters, and vehicles carrying oil pipes and industrial machinery are regular users. The parked truck, however, significantly reduces the available road width, posing challenges for larger vehicles to pass safely.

The situation is even more precarious at night when visibility is reduced, escalating the risk of collisions or other traffic incidents. Community members are now urging the relevant authorities to investigate the matter. They argue that the issue has persisted for far too long and continues to pose concerns for both commuters and operators of heavy machinery.

Despite the outcry, no official statement has yet been issued by either the authorities or Gulf Paving Limited, the company to which the truck is reportedly registered.
