Lincoln Red Imps open their 2026/27 league campaign with a win

**Lincoln Red Imps Begin 2026‑27 Gibraltar Premier Division with Victory**

Gibraltar – The Lincoln Red Imps kicked off their 2026‑27 Gibraltar Premier Division campaign on Saturday with a 2‑0 win over Glacis United at the Victoria Stadium.

The home side opened the season strongly, netting two goals while keeping a clean sheet against Glacis United, a club that is not traditionally counted among the league’s six leading teams.

The win follows Lincoln’s recent success in European competition. Three days earlier, the Red Imps defeated Northern Ireland’s Larne after extra time to secure a place in the league phase of the UEFA Conference League.

Lincoln’s manager praised the squad’s performance, noting that the early league triumph “sets a positive tone for the season and builds on the momentum we generated in Europe.”

Glacis United will look to regroup ahead of their next league fixture, while Lincoln Red Imps aim to maintain their form as they pursue domestic and continental objectives.
