LG Display 的3Q 獲利轉虧為盈 友達、群創轉型受益受關注

LG Display reported a turnaround in its third‑quarter earnings, posting a net profit of 760 billion KRW after a loss in the previous quarter. The company’s revenue rose 11.8 % year‑on‑year to 6.28 trillion KRW, driven largely by new iPhone orders and improved foreign‑exchange gains that offset operating losses. Analysts noted that the company’s fourth‑quarter outlook remains positive. Shipping volume is expected to increase by roughly 10 % compared with the third quarter, and average selling prices (ASP) are projected to rise by a low‑single‑digit percentage. The increase is attributed to continued demand for mobile and other products linked to the new iPhone lineup. Despite the upside for LG Display, analysts expect overall market demand to cool in the fourth quarter. They maintain a neutral stance on most panel‑supply‑chain stocks, citing a decline in demand for TV panels—whose pricing has remained flat—and a sharper contraction in IT panel demand due to higher component costs and supply shortages. Notebook panel demand, in particular, is expected to shrink more noticeably. The report also highlighted potential growth opportunities for competitors AU Optronics (ticker 2409) and Innolux (ticker 3481). Both companies are expanding into MicroLED CPO and CoPoS technologies. While the revenue impact of these new ventures is expected to be modest in 2026 and 2027, analysts see significant upside potential as the companies mature in these high‑margin segments.
