Egyptian actress Mona Zaki will receive the Creative Achievement Award at the opening ceremony of the 9th El Gouna Film Festival, which will run from 15 to 23 October 2026 in the Red Sea resort town of El Gouna.
The award, presented by the festival’s organizers, recognizes Zaki’s contributions to cinema, television and theatre. The ceremony will take place on the festival’s opening day, marking the start of a week of screenings, panels and industry events.
El Gouna, located on Egypt’s Red Sea coast, has hosted the film festival annually since its inception. The 2026 edition will feature a program of international and regional films, alongside awards for artistic and technical achievements.
