A defense attorney representing an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent accused of striking a man with his vehicle has dismissed the charges as being “invented” from “thin air.” The agent, whose identity has been central to the ongoing legal proceedings, faces allegations stemming from an encounter in which he reportedly maneuvered his SUV toward a man who was fleeing on foot. Prosecutors contend that the agent’s actions constituted a criminal use of his vehicle against the individual. In response to the charges, the defense team has challenged the prosecution’s narrative, arguing that the evidence does not support the criminal allegations brought against their client. The attorney maintained that the incident has been misrepresented and that the charges lack a factual basis. The prosecution’s case relies heavily on visual evidence, including CCTV footage and body-worn camera recordings. These videos appear to show the agent making sharp, deliberate movements with his SUV in the direction of the man as the individual attempted to run away. The case remains before the court as both sides prepare to present their arguments regarding the agent’s conduct during the encounter.
