The final wishes of the late television personality and activist, Inshan Ishmael, were publicly disclosed on his talk show, Breaking Barriers. Richard Jagessar, Ishmael’s attorney, revealed that Ishmael left specific instructions for the Barakah Foundation, his non-profit, and for his family. The foundation is to continue its work as a refuge, especially for the Muslim community, and will be managed by Ishmael’s son, Zaakir. In addition, the foundation will establish and manage a hospital, the Barakah Medical Centre. Jagessar also shared a personal message from Ishmael to his family, ensuring them they were not alone and left his son with the responsibility of supporting the family and managing the hospital. Ishmael, who passed away from cancer, leaves a legacy through his foundation and its future medical centre.
