La violència de gènere digital suma fins a 12 casos entre gener i maig i iguala la xifra registrada al llarg de tot l’any 2025

**Digital Gender-Based Violence Cases Reach 2025 Annual Total in First Five Months of 2026**

**ANDORRA** – Data from the Service for Attention to Victims of Gender-Based Violence indicates a significant rise in digital abuse, with 12 cases reported between January and May 2026. This figure matches the total number of digital gender-based violence cases recorded throughout the entirety of 2025.

According to the report, the service assisted a total of 229 women during the first five months of 2026. Of those cases, 12 involved digital violence. For comparison, the service handled 359 total cases of gender-based violence in 2025, 12 of which were classified as digital.

In response to these trends, authorities launched a campaign this September aimed at younger demographics. The initiative is designed to help youth identify and address behaviors associated with digital control, such as the monitoring of social media activity and the tracking of personal location.
