Kuffa vytiahol na bývalé vedenie envirorezortu nezverejnené faktúry. Malo sa tak vyplatiť cez 2,2 milióna eur

The Ministry of Environment has been found to have failed to publish 222 paid invoices amounting to more than €2.2 million on its website during the period from January 2025 to September 2026. The omission, according to an internal audit, constitutes a breach of the law. The audit was ordered by State Secretary Filip Kuffa and was reported to the ministry’s communication department. It highlighted that the ministry had not ensured the complete and continuous disclosure of data on paid invoices. “These invoices remained literally hidden. Someone probably did the effort and the entire list of paid invoices was checked and reduced and published like this,” Kuffa said. The audit also identified that the change in the invoice‑publication process had been implemented outside the framework of existing internal governance documents. Several invoices were missing, including those for renovation work at Hotel Bobrovník, a property the ministry had planned to sell as surplus. Kuffa questioned the rationale for investing in a hotel that was intended for sale, adding that the audit also uncovered undisclosed invoices for flights and foreign business trips. He noted that all the funds involved came from the state budget. The ministry has stated that it has taken corrective action in response to the audit findings. Since Thursday, all previously missing invoices have been properly published, and work is underway to automate the invoice‑publication process to prevent similar issues in the future.
