**South Australia to Implement National H5 Bird Flu Reporting Framework**
South Australia is set to adopt a nationally agreed reporting framework for H5 bird flu, effective Monday, August 17, 2026.
The transition to the new system includes the launch of an interactive map designed to provide updated information regarding confirmed cases of the virus. Among the cases recently confirmed under the current monitoring efforts is a Kohinoor falcon.
The new reporting framework aims to standardize how H5 avian influenza data is tracked and communicated across the state. Further details regarding the reporting process and the interactive map are expected to be made available to the public as the framework goes live.
