KI DKI soroti peran Biro Dikmental soal keterbukaan informasi publik

The Information Commission (KI) of DKI Jakarta has emphasized the strategic role of the Jakarta Education, Mental, and Spiritual Bureau (Dikmental) in upholding public information transparency. Officials stated that providing accessible and accurate information is essential for fostering public participation and ensuring government accountability.

Aang Muhdi Gozali, Head of the Institutional Division at KI DKI Jakarta, noted that public information transparency is no longer merely an administrative obligation but a necessity for public bodies. According to Gozali, transparent communication regarding policies and programs allows the public to better understand government initiatives. Furthermore, he suggested that transparency serves as a preventative measure against corruption by allowing public oversight throughout the planning, implementation, and reporting phases of government programs.

Gozali highlighted that the Dikmental Bureau’s functions, which include education, culture, and spiritual affairs, directly impact the community. He argued that clear information in these sectors can help citizens improve their quality of life.

In response, Andika Jati Zohella, Head of the Culture, Library, and Archives Group at the Dikmental Bureau, expressed support for these standards. Zohella stated that the bureau is actively developing its website and social media channels to better disseminate information. Current public disclosures from the bureau include details on public services, operational support for places of worship, the Jakarta Superior Student Card (KJMU), cultural preservation, and religious activities.

The bureau aims to ensure that the information provided through these digital channels offers meaningful insights and tangible benefits to the residents of Jakarta. Both organizations expressed a commitment to strengthening information management practices to ensure that government performance remains transparent and beneficial to the public.
