In Kayseri’s Melikgazi district, police officers stopped a vehicle with the plate number 38 SH 467 and issued a “stop” warning. The driver, identified only by the initials O.D., did not comply and fled the scene. A brief pursuit ended when the vehicle was apprehended on Yokuş Street in the Yıldırım Beyazıt neighborhood. During the arrest, the driver resisted cooperation. When officers attempted to place him in the police vehicle’s restraint area, he refused and told the officers, “You can’t bend my head.” He was then taken to the police station for processing. At the station, O.D. declined to take a breath‑alcohol test. Because of the refusal, the driver was fined 360,000 Turkish lira under the relevant traffic regulations. His vehicle was also suspended from traffic for 60 days and was removed by a tow truck to a parking facility. The incident was handled by the Kayseri Provincial Police Department’s Asayiş Sub-Branch, Devriye Ekipler Büro Amirliği. No injuries were reported.
