JCB Celebrates 30 Years in Philippines, Marking 70 Years of Japan-Phl Ties

MAKATI CITY – JCB, the Japanese credit card giant, celebrated 30 years of operations in the Philippines on Wednesday, with the event also paying tribute to the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Philippines.

The milestone event, held in Makati City, brought together business leaders and diplomats to reflect on decades of economic collaboration. JCB first entered the Philippine market in 1994 and has since become a key player in the local credit card industry.

The 70-year diplomatic relationship, established in 1956, has fostered trade, investment, and cultural exchanges. JCB’s continued expansion in the Philippines underscores the strength of these bilateral ties.

Representatives from both countries highlighted the importance of such partnerships in driving economic growth and innovation in the region.
