Jay-Z skal opptre under Super Bowl

The National Football League (NFL), Apple Music and Jay‑Z’s entertainment company Roc Nation announced on Monday evening that the 2025 Super Bowl will feature a new halftime show produced by the trio. The game is scheduled for February 14 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, just outside Los Angeles. Jay‑Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has been involved in the NFL’s halftime productions since 2019 through a partnership between Roc Nation and the league. In 2019 he declined an invitation to perform himself, telling NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, “If this is about me performing under the Super Bowl, we can end the conversation now.” Seven years later, the rapper has agreed to take the stage. The announcement follows the 2024 halftime show, which was headlined by Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny. Jay‑Z’s decision to perform is the first time he will appear on the field for a Super Bowl halftime show. Jay‑Z is a highly decorated artist, having won 25 Grammy Awards and received 89 nominations—only Beyoncé has more nominations. Beyoncé herself has performed at two Super Bowl halftime shows. Jay‑Z’s most famous tracks include “Hard Knock Life,” “99 Problems” and “Empire State of Mind,” the latter a collaboration with Alicia Keys. In 2017 he became the first rapper inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and in 2021 he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
