Jamaica: Police Fatally Shoot Former Constable in St. Andrew

A gunman was fatally shot by police on South Camp Road in St. Andrew, Jamaica, on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Mark Anthony Sean Raby, who was previously a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

Raby had been dismissed from the police force for misconduct prior to the end of his probationary period. The incident occurred when Raby allegedly held up a taxi driver. Police responded to the situation, leading to an exchange of gunfire in which Raby was shot.
