Isolated Thunderstorm Brings Heavy Rainfall and Lightning to Trinidad’s Western Coastline

An isolated thunderstorm has developed near San Fernando, bringing with it intense rainfall and frequent lightning. The storm, located between Couva and South Oropouche, is progressing westward into the Gulf of Paria. This has prompted attention due to the potential for sudden weather changes along Trinidad’s western coastline.

In Northern Trinidad, residents are experiencing variably cloudy conditions, with light to moderate rain accompanied by sporadic heavier downpours. These conditions are remnants of decaying thunderstorms that have impacted the area throughout the day.

Meanwhile, Tobago enjoys relatively calm weather, though there is a chance of isolated weather activity impacting the northeastern part of the island. Despite this, the overall outlook remains settled, offering some respite to the island’s inhabitants.
