Irán recibe una carta del vicepresidente de EEUU y aún no ha contestado

Iran has received a letter from U.S. Vice President John D. Vance, according to Iranian news agencies, but Tehran has not yet responded. The letter was addressed to Mohsen Rezai, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, and is part of an effort to revive negotiations aimed at ending the conflict in the Middle East. The Iranian news agency Fars cited a source familiar with the matter, noting that the letter was sent at the request of President Donald Trump. However, Trump has denied any involvement in the initiative. The Wall Street Journal reported that Vance is assessing whether Tehran and Washington can find enough common ground to persuade Trump not to authorize a brief, intense attack on Iran in the coming weeks. The letter is not a peace agreement but a potential framework for negotiations, according to the U.S. newspaper. Iran has reiterated its demand that the United States respect the seven conditions it has imposed for any further talks. The conditions include a comprehensive ceasefire across the Middle East, the release of Iranian assets held abroad, the lifting of sanctions that affect its oil sector, and the end of the U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Wednesday that the country continues to engage with mediators on a plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran has made clear that its reopening of the strait is contingent on the conditions mentioned above.
