As of 9:40 AM, there’s ongoing widespread to scattered rainfall across both islands. The weather is expected to remain unsettled throughout the day, with intermittent rainfall predicted to continue into the late afternoon. Currently, Tobago is experiencing widespread rainfall, primarily light to moderate, but with isolated pockets of heavier, more intense downpours. Over in Trinidad, the skies are variably cloudy with light to moderate rainfall. The northern and eastern areas are currently receiving the brunt of it. However, as the morning transitions into the afternoon, more of the island is expected to see scattered pockets of rainfall. Brief, isolated thunderstorms are also likely to occur throughout the day. Areas experiencing prolonged or intense rainfall should be aware of the potential for gusty winds and street or flash flooding.
