Passengers aboard the T&T Spirit, an inter-island ferry, were stranded for several hours on Sunday due to rough seas and technical difficulties. The ferry, initially scheduled to arrive in Tobago, was delayed, leaving passengers onboard for the majority of the day. Adverse weather conditions, including strong winds and currents, prompted safety concerns and forced a delay in docking. Besides the weather, passengers reported technical issues with the vessel which further delayed the journey. Passengers remained onboard even upon reaching port as procedures were being cleared. Despite the prolonged delay, the vessel docked safely after more than six hours at sea. The incident caused a delay for other vessels waiting in the harbour but officials assured that the safety of passengers and crew was prioritized.
