India’s Death Bowling Disaster: 126 Runs in Final 10 Overs Seal Series Loss to England

India’s bowling attack crumbled in the death overs as England smashed 126 runs in the final 10 overs to secure a 27-run victory in the third ODI at Lord’s, clinching the series 2-1. Skipper Shubman Gill admitted the costly finish proved decisive. ‘We were right in the game until the 45th over. Gave away a lot of runs in the last three overs,’ Gill said after the match. England’s Jos Buttler (41 off 13) and Joe Root (74 off 48) led a brutal assault, with Gurnoor Brar and Prasidh Krishna conceding 23 runs each in the 48th and 49th overs. India’s chase of 388 started strongly, with Rohit Sharma scoring 138 and Gill adding 77, but a middle-order collapse left them short at 360/7. The loss highlighted India’s over-reliance on an injured Jasprit Bumrah in the death overs.
