The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) received significant praise from India for their work securing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit. Following the Prime Minister’s trip from July 3rd to 4th, high-ranking Indian security officials, including Mr. Alok Sharma, Director of the Special Protection Group (SPG), and Mr. Rajiv Ranjan Bhagat, Inspector General, expressed their gratitude to TTPS Commissioner Allister Guevarro and Assistant Commissioner Terrence Pierre.
The Indian delegation specifically highlighted the TTPS’s meticulous planning, professionalism, and seamless coordination with other agencies. They described the overall security operation as exceptional, emphasizing the strategic readiness and respectful conduct of local law enforcement.
Commissioner Guevarro, in turn, acknowledged the contributions of numerous partner agencies and several key individuals within the TTPS, including Deputy Commissioner Junior Benjamin, Assistant Commissioner Garvin Henry, and Superintendent Mark Balkaran. He highlighted their dedication and excellent coordination as crucial to the operation’s success. The Commissioner reaffirmed the TTPS’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service and security, and expressed appreciation for the international recognition.
