A 18-year-old man was arrested in Sarandí del Yí, Durazno, for allegedly violating protection orders related to a domestic violence case. The arrest was carried out by officers from the 9th Police Station.

According to the Durazno Police Headquarters, the incident occurred on Wednesday, September 16, at approximately 6:30 p.m. Authorities report that the individual entered a property he was legally prohibited from accessing, resulting in charges of contempt and domestic violence. The suspect also allegedly caused property damage at the location.

The man remains in custody and is currently at the disposal of the local Prosecutor’s Office. Judicial authorities are expected to issue a ruling on the case as the investigation continues.
