Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi expressed condolences for Colonel Sayit Gökgöz, who was killed in a military vehicle accident in Ankara. The Colonel, who served as an intelligence officer with the Army Command, was injured in the crash and died despite all rescue efforts. In a post on his social‑media account, Çiftçi said: “Colonel Sayit Gökgöz, who was serving in the Intelligence Directorate of the Army Command, was injured in the traffic accident and, despite all rescue attempts, could not be saved and was killed. I pray for the mercy of our martyr from God, and I offer condolences to his grieving family, to the heroic Turkish Armed Forces, and to the nation. May the martyr’s rank be exalted.” The statement was reported by Anadolu Agency.
